Asa Firestone

I would like to see more substance regarding the issues of building another coal plant in Pueblo. Why would we as residents of the most beautiful state in the country, continue to pollute with coal, even when the facts show the bad economics of this particular fossil fuel. The eminent issuing of a carbon tax and carbon credits, coal transportation complications, and the ethical problems of using coal in the face of today's climate change issues, all blatantly plead for the change over from coal to clean, renewable power generation. The solutions and alternatives exist, yet without good media coverage, the pressure from the public will never amount. Please, as smart, ethical, and progressive people, run more material on this issue, so we that live in Colorado can begin to make our own decisions about energy, rather than paying for Xcel to make them for us. Sincerely, Asa Firestone
