Please join us to hear Jeremy Epstein, Energy Efficiency and Finance Specialist for the EnergySmart Program, discuss financing energy efficiency and renewable energy home upgrades. Some of the topics that Jeremy will be covering include financial lending failures and successes, the anatomy of public/private parternships in comparison to the EnergySmart Program, and EnergySmart program successes and uptake, today and in the future. Afterwards, there will be a question and answer session for all energy financing questions.
Background Info
Hailing from Massachusetts, Jeremy Epstein did his undergrad at the University of Colorado and attained a master’s in environmental policy at the Evergreen State College in Washington State. He moved back to Boulder in summer of 2010 to work under the Better Buildings block grant awarded to Boulder County, which would eventually become the EnergySmart brand. Within EnergySmart, Jeremy created and managed a county-run microloans program prior to taking on the task of project managing the development and ongoing support of the Elevations Energy Loan program, which makes $35 million dollars in lending capital available to homes and businesses across Boulder and Denver Counties.
